I am a holistic therapist, and I am passionate about supporting people to live with more ease and more joy. I help people make their wellbeing dreams come true, which sounds grand but usually starts with something quite small.

Where this began

At twenty-one I was a student nurse, ready to change the world, and I was stopped in my tracks by severe back pain. I had no tools to help myself, let alone anybody else. I was full of anxiety, in a lot of pain, and quietly certain I was not good enough.

That is a long time ago now, but I have never forgotten what it is like to be the person who cannot see a way through. It is why I do not rush anyone, and why I do not promise miracles.

Three decades with families

What followed was around thirty years of working with hundreds of individuals and families, as an NHS health visitor and in early years and childcare. Health visiting in particular teaches you to sit with people in difficult moments and create a safe space, and to notice what is really going on underneath what is being said.

Throughout all of it I stayed fascinated by how the body, mind and spirit respond to stress, and I kept looking for ways to make living a bit easier. I believe we are here on this planet to learn, to grow and to enjoy life, not to suffer through it.

How I trained

I trained in Rapid Transformational Therapy, the award-winning method created by Marisa Peer, and I offer it both in person and over Zoom. I am also an Access Bars practitioner, Reiki practitioner and tapping practitioner.

Each healing modality works in a slightly different way, yet works to enhance your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual wellbeing. RTT goes looking for a root cause, Access Bars and Reiki give an exhausted nervous system genuine rest, and tapping hands you something you keep for good.

How I work

I aim to walk beside you as you build new levels of health and ease in your life, empowering you to make new choices. What if you could change anything?

In practice that means: no jargon, no pressure, and no pretending. If I do not think I am the right person to help you, I will say so on the first call rather than take a booking. If I think what you need is your GP, a counsellor or a specialist service, I will tell you that too.

A note on what therapy can and cannot do

Everything I offer is complementary therapy. It sits alongside medical care and never replaces it, and nobody, me included, can promise you a particular outcome. What I can promise is that you will be listened to properly, that nothing will be rushed, and that I will be honest with you about what I think.

Training

Learning RTT from Marisa Peer

Rapid Transformational Therapy was created by Marisa Peer, a hypnotherapist with more than thirty years of clinical work behind her, who drew the most effective parts of hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT and psychotherapy into one method.

I trained in it directly, and it is still the approach I reach for most often when somebody wants to get underneath a problem rather than manage it.

In Bare, Morecambe, or online

Some of this work needs you in the room and some of it does not. Either way, you do not have to live round the corner.

I see clients at my treatment space in Bare, Morecambe, a few minutes from the promenade and about fifteen from Lancaster. All four treatments are available here.

People travel to me from

  • Lancaster

Online

By Zoom, anywhere in the UK

RTT and tapping work well over Zoom, so a good number of the people I see have never been to Lancashire at all. All you need is a quiet room and an hour or two to yourself.

Shall we have a chat?

Twenty minutes, by phone or video, and free. You can ask me anything you like, including whether I think I am the right person for this.
